New post!!!

Hi Everyone, today I am starting this new travel blog because I love traveling and clicking  photographs so in this blog I will be writing about the places I visit and some of the stories related to the place, I will also be uploading some Photographs of the respective places

So this is my first Post and in this post, I will be sharing some photographs of my visit to Rani ki Vav. I have personally clicked and edited these photo's

This 11th-century marvelous wonder is created by Queen Udaymati in the memory of her husband King Bhimdev 1, it is situated in Patan a  city in Gujarat, INDIA. Rani ki Vav is known as
the Queen Stepwell. This place is also declared as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2014.

There were 226 pillars and more than 800 sculptures which includes a sculpture of Ten incarnations of Vishnu, Shiva, Brahma, Kali, King Ram, Indra dev, Apsaras(angles) etc. Ever sculpture is designed and carved very perfectly even at the olden times the workers managed to make such a beautiful sculptures and that too without the use of machinery. Because sandstone is used in making these sculptures and pillars they are day by day depleting and this is a harsh truth(you can clearly see in the images), I think there is no other way round to protect these sculptures with harming it. Many sculptures are been removed from the stepwell and now if u look around u will find there are plenty of blank spaces left out.

The officials have stopped people from going deep inside the stepwell, barriers are created so that no visitor should enter the unauthorized area because ASI (Archeological Survey of India) has said that if the visitors enter the sensitive areas inside the stepwell there are chances that the stepwell may collapse.

In olden scriptures, it is written that inside the Stepwell there were many medicinal plants inside it which cured Viral fever and other diseases. In an article, it was written that the Queen Udaimati did suicide from the seventh floor of the Rani ki Vav, I don't know if this is true or a myth.

Beneath the Last Step of this well, there is huge Door which a 30 Km wide door which is connected
to another city Sidhpur a town near Patan. I have personally listed about this many time, this might be true because at the time of Chalyukya dynasty every small town and city were connected to patan and this door might be the safest place to travel at the time of emergency.
